Aluminium Cans

According to Planet Ark, over two billion aluminium cans are recycled every year in Australia. Every can that's recycled saves enough energy to power a television set for three hours!

Will WSN Environmental Solutions accept my aluminium cans?

Aluminium cans are accepted free of charge at all of WSN's Resource Recovery Centres.

What else can I do with my aluminium cans?

• For small quantities, simply place them in the appropriate recycling bin provided by your local council.
• For large quantities, take them to a 'Cash for Cans' community centre. These centres are run by local community groups (such as Lions, Rotary, Scouts, sport groups and local schools) and are located in strategic locations in metropolitan and rural areas. The cans are kept in a cage, and when the cage is full, the community centre operators sell the collected cans to a central aggregation centre.
